Lizbeth Meredith is an award-winning author whose story inspired the Lifetime movie, Stolen By Their Father.
She helps create change through the power of storytelling—drawing not only from her personal experiences, but also from her education in psychology, her training as a trauma-informed care trainer, and her three decades of professional work with survivors and offenders of crime.
Throughout her 30-year career serving domestic violence and child abuse survivors, and later, juvenile probationers, Lizbeth has provided trainings and presentations to both government and non-government agencies. She has received national and local awards for her work addressing family violence. Known for her casual, relatable style, Lizbeth weaves humor, personal insights, and real-world examples into her presentations, offering audiences an honest look at the work needed to defy the odds and break cycles of intergenerational trauma.
Lizbeth is also the host of Persistence U with Lizbeth, a podcast created for and by survivors and strivers, where resilience stories are front and center.
When she’s not working, Lizbeth enjoys FaceTiming with her adult daughters, slipping into a movie matinee, or joining her neighbors for early morning walks—often spent debating the latest reality TV villains.
